Hugh Jackman loses Guinness World Record after Deadpool vs. Wolverine

Deadpool vs. Wolverine was a box office success. In this movie, famous actor Hugh Jackman played the role of Wolverine for the 10th time, which may really be his last time. But more than that, this movie also made him lose his Guinness World Record for the actor with the longest career playing a Marvel character.

The following content contains spoilers!

In the film, Laura, the wolf who previously appeared in "Logan", recruited characters from other non-MCU Marvel superhero movies, including "Blade", "Elektra" and "Fantastic Four", which made Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Garner and Chris Evans play their old roles, and also included Channing Tatum, who canceled his "Gambit" solo movie.

However, the addition of Snipes, the star of Blade, means he has become the new record holder for the longest career as a Marvel character. Jackman first played Wolverine in 2000's X-Men, but Snipes' first Blade was released in 1998. Jackman previously beat out Patrick Stewart, who played Doctor X, with a cameo in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.

Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds thanked Snipes for joining the cast on Instagram and called him "Marvel Daddy."

Snipes also holds the record for the longest gap between appearances in a Marvel movie, with a gap of nearly 20 years. His last appearance was in 2004's Blade Show: Trinity.

At DC, Kevin Conroy, who voices Batman, has held the record for 32 years.
