The former ratings champion, the legendary classic Japanese drama "Gorgeous Family" will launch a new episode on April 18, 2021, titled "Serial Drama W Gorgeous Family". As a commemorative work for the 30th anniversary of the establishment of WOWOW, the latest characters were recently unveiled. "Gorgeous Family" is adapted from the novel of the same name by Toyoko Yamazaki. It was first broadcast on Japan's TBS TV station in 2007 and set a record-breaking high ratings. It is set against the background of financial restructuring from 1966 to 1968 and tells the story of the disputes, ambitions, love and hatred between fathers and sons in a chaebol family. ·The three main characters of the Manbyou family are: the eldest son of the Manbyou family, Manbyou Tetsuhei, played by Mukai Osamu; the head of the Manbyou family, the iron-fisted tycoon Manbyou Daisuke, played by Nakai Kiichi; the second son of the Manbyou family, Manbyou Ginpei, played by Fujitani Taisuke.
