Kevin Feige: The multiverse will be a major theme of the next MCU

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently said that connections to the multiverse will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe "before and after" Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse of Madness.

In a recent interview, Feige dropped some hints about the studio's plans to further explore the concept of the multiverse, seemingly confirming that the multiverse will become a theme in the MCU timeline after the events of Doctor Strange 2, which is released on March 25, 2022.

Feige did not disclose the details. He said: "The subtitle of "Doctor Strange 2" is'Into the Mad Multiverse', which itself is our biggest clue. The movie will embrace the concept of the multiverse, and it will be very crazy. The literal meaning is very direct. Then, as we always like to do, there will be connections before and after, which will be waiting for the audience to discover for themselves."

Feige said that Doctor Strange 2 will deal with the concept of the multiverse in the "most direct way", but he did not ignore the existence of this concept in other places in the MCU. Although there are no details at this stage, at least we know that this film will be connected to WandaVision and Spider-Man 3.
