This film is a model in visual presentation, using rich colors, light and shadow effects, and clever camera scheduling to present the audience with a hearty monster action feast. Director Adam Wingard ingeniously introduced a powerful new villain to cater to the epic showdown that fans expect. Unfortunately, the film lacks the rationality of the plot and emotional foreshadowing. Some sensational scenes seem stiff and deliberate, and fail to resonate with the audience. However, the interaction between King Kong and his kind from the center of the earth is remarkable, adding a touch of warmth to the film.
