Bethesda's "The Elder Scrolls" series has a history of nearly 30 years and has become one of the most popular RPG game series in the history of games. The IP has also spawned successful MMO works such as "The Elder Scrolls Online". Now, Bethesda seems to be considering bringing Netflix into the world of "The Elder Scrolls". We know that The Elder Scrolls 6 is currently in development, and meanwhile, insider Daniel Ritchtman has claimed in a report that Netflix is developing a TV series based on the Elder Scrolls series, and hopes that the series will be as successful as The Witcher TV series. Although neither Bethesda nor Netflix has confirmed the news of the TV adaptation of "The Elder Scrolls", given that this year Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, co-creators of "Westworld", announced that they would produce a TV adaptation of the "Fallout" series for Amazon Prime Video, this may mean that both of Bethesda's major IPs will enter the TV field. While the veracity of this rumor remains to be seen, Netflix is no stranger to adapting popular gaming IPs into television services. |
