Netflix is developing a 'The Master' adaptation from the director of 'John Wick'

The action game "Master", which was launched in 2022, won multiple game awards and recognition from players. Therefore, this work was also favored by Chad Stahelski, the director of the "John Wick" series, and plans to make a live-action adaptation movie.

More than two years after the project was launched, according to foreign media "GamesRadar+", Netflix has acquired the copyright for the live-action adaptation of "The Master" from Stahelski.

The report cited a joint statement that said: “From the moment we became involved, we knew this film had all the ingredients for an unforgettable cinematic experience - gripping action, deep emotional stakes, and a unique approach to martial arts storytelling. Partnering with 87Eleven Entertainment, the world’s best in action filmmaking, is a dream come true; their mastery of martial arts action and heartfelt storytelling are the perfect match to bring Master to the big screen. With Netflix’s support, we are ready to deliver an action film like no other.”

In addition, the script for the live-action adaptation of "The Master" is being written by TS Nowlin, the screenwriter of the "Maze Runner" series of films, rather than Derek Kolstad, the screenwriter of the "John Wick" series and "Little Shots" as previously reported.
