During an interview with Variety, Fallout live-action series creator Vernon Sanders and Amazon MGM CEO Jennifer Salke discussed the current status of the show's second season, which is reportedly proceeding according to plan and at a rapid pace. "I think we're actually ahead of schedule on bringing back season two," Sanders revealed, before clarifying that the creative team still couldn't provide a specific release date or timeframe, but added: "We've got the script." In addition, Jennifer Salke responded to some recent rumors that the second season will be changed to an anthology mode. The anthology mode means that each episode will tell a different story, similar to "Love, Death and Robots", "The Twilight Zone" or "Black Mirror". Some fans believe that this will make it easier for the screenwriter to explore the larger world view of the "Fallout" series. Although Salke expressed his interest in similar models and said that "there are indeed many ways to go", he emphasized that the second season will be a continuation of the first season and will move forward based on the stories of existing characters. He also said that the production team has "fully committed" to this route. This latest interview comes on the heels of the show's recent 16 Emmy nominations. The show has indeed been a huge success, with Amazon renewing it for a second season within a week of the first season airing. The creative team recently said they believe the show can continue for at least five seasons. |
