Netflix's hit series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will premiere its final season on December 31

Netflix's magic-themed TV series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will come to an end with its upcoming fourth season, and now we know exactly when it will be released.

Netflix confirmed in a new trailer that Season 4 will be the final season, premiering on December 31. The final season will have eight episodes, and Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) and her friends will face a new demon and embark on new adventures this season.

Tati Gabrielle and Tom Holland will also appear in this unknown series, and Miranda Otto, the star of "Lord of the Rings", will also play Sabrina's aunt in the play.

In July, Netflix announced that it would end Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Showrunner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa said of the cancellation: "It has been an incredible honor to work on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina since day one."

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina sparked some controversy after The Satanic Temple sued Netflix and production company Warner Bros. for $50 million over the use of some of the creatures from the show. The two companies eventually reached an amicable settlement.
