Sega officially announced that the quality of the live-action movie "Yakuza" is guaranteed

Previously, the media revealed that Sega is working with 1212 Entertainment/Wild Sheep Content to shoot a live-action movie of "Yakuza". Eric Barmack, Robert Grande and Joshua Long will serve as producers of the film. 1212 Entertainment and Wild Sheep Content are looking for scriptwriters.

Recently at TGS 2020, Sega did not announce a new game in the "Yakuza" series, but Toshihiro Nagoshi confirmed that the "Yakuza" series of games is being adapted into a movie by Hollywood, and detailed information of the movie will be announced later.

Toshihiro Nagoshi said: "Since we are going to do it, we might as well make it better! Sega has the right to terminate the authorization. If the content of the movie is not good enough and we are not satisfied, the filming of the movie will not continue." This cooperation is different from ordinary licensing cooperation. Sega is not making a movie just for the sake of making a "Yakuza" movie, but really wants to do it well.
