The war film "The Eight Hundred" directed by Guan Hu released a 15-second "morale-boosting" trailer today (August 4). The film is scheduled to be released nationwide on August 21.

The film is based on the Battle of Shanghai in 1937, and tells the story of a reinforced battalion of the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division of the Third War Zone of the Chinese National Revolutionary Army, known as the "Eight Hundred Warriors", who defended the Sihang Warehouse on the Suzhou River and blocked the Japanese army. At the end of the Battle of Shanghai in 1937, the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division of the National Revolutionary Army stayed behind at the Sihang Warehouse in Shanghai, separated from the concession by a river, and fought alone for four days and nights, creating a rare war that was watched by onlookers; in order to boost their momentum, the four hundred people claimed to be eight hundred people.
