Cinemas in low-risk areas in Beijing will be open on July 24, and moviegoers must make an appointment and wear a mask throughout the entire viewing.

At a recent press conference on the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia in Beijing, Wang Jiequn, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee and director of the Municipal Film Bureau, introduced that low-risk areas in the city can resume business in an orderly manner on July 24, provided that all prevention and control measures in cinemas are effectively implemented. Once a low-risk area is adjusted to a medium- or high-risk area, cinemas will promptly suspend business as required. Each cinema can determine the specific opening time based on the implementation of epidemic prevention measures and its own actual situation.

Wang Jiequn introduced that movie watching adopts online real-name reservation, contactless ticketing, cross-seat ticketing, staggered screening in theaters, and the attendance rate of each show shall not exceed 30%, ensuring that strangers are more than 1 meter apart. The theater has a single entrance and exit to avoid cross-flow of people. At the same time, a system for registering and preserving audience information has been established, using the "Health Treasure" QR code to scan the code to watch the movie, and temperature detection before entering; guiding the audience to do a good job of hand hygiene; the audience must sit in the corresponding seat and wear a mask throughout the viewing process. In principle, snacks are prohibited during the viewing period, and the cinema should arrange personnel for inspection.
