Nolan's new film "Tenet" is withdrawn again and some countries may release it first

According to IGN, Nolan's new action thriller "Tenet" has been withdrawn again and postponed. This is the third time that "Tenet" has adjusted its release date. The release date of the film is still to be determined.

Tenet was originally scheduled for July 17, but was later moved to August 12. Unfortunately, as the COVID-19 outbreak continues and continues to wreak havoc on the film and television entertainment industry, Warner no longer seems willing to release this movie, which should have made a lot of money, in the summer.

Interestingly, Warner Chairman Toby Emmerich hinted that Warner may abandon plans to release Tenet simultaneously around the world and instead release the film in individual markets if the public health crisis (COVID-19) permits.

Toby Emmerich said in a statement: "We will announce a new release date for Tenet in 2020. This is a completely original and amazing film by Christopher Nolan. We will not announce Tenet with a traditional global release date, and our new marketing and distribution plan will reflect this."

Toby Emmerich's statement shows that Warner apparently still hopes to release "Tenet" in 2020, at least in theaters in some countries around the world. According to foreign media Variety, Warner sources emphasized that Warner was forced to be flexible in the release plan of "Tenet", which means that "Tenet" will not have a traditional movie premiere. Overseas cinemas have begun to reopen, so it is possible that it will be released in some other countries before it is released in the United States.
