The production team revealed the plot direction of the last two seasons: "In the first season, the protagonist discovers that he is a chess piece, in the second season, the chess piece wants to turn himself into a chess player, and in the third season, the chess piece wants to overturn the entire chessboard." In order to invite Chen Daoming to appear in the show, the producers had seven or eight face-to-face discussions with him.
