Famous animation director Masaaki Yuasa announced his resignation as CEO to take a break and prepare for new works

On the evening of April 1, the famous Japanese animation director Masaaki Yuasa tweeted that he would resign from his current position as president of the animation company science SARU. He wanted to take a break to prepare for his new work, and he would continue to direct the "Inu-oh" animated film at hand.

Masaaki Yuasa was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan in March 1965. He is a famous Japanese animation director, screenwriter and producer. In 1990, he served as the art designer of the animation "Chibi Maruko-chan". In 2004, he independently directed his first animated film "Mind Game". In 2017, the animated film "The Song of Lu Announces the Dawn" directed by him won the Crystal Award for Best Animated Feature Film at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France; on June 21, 2019, the animated film "Ride the Waves with You" directed by him was released in Japan.

· Masaaki Yuasa said that he has resigned from his current position as president of the animation company science SARU on March 25, and expressed his gratitude to everyone who has helped him in the seven years since he started his business. After completing his last work, the animated film "Inu-oh", he will take a break to prepare for the next work, so stay tuned.

The animated film "Inu-Oh" is expected to be released in 2021 and is adapted from the Japanese novel "The Tale of the Heike: Inu-Oh".
