Due to the epidemic, the release of "The New Mutants" and "Antlers" was postponed

Due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, Disney previously confirmed that the release of "Mulan" will be postponed. Now it has announced that the new X-Men film "The New Mutants" and the horror film "Antlers" will also be postponed.

The New Mutants was originally scheduled to be released in North America on April 3, but now it has been postponed again. It is really unfortunate. The New Mutants was originally scheduled to be released on April 13, 2018, and then changed to February 22, 2019, and then pushed to August 2 of the same year, and later became April 3, 2020. Now The New Mutants has been postponed again, but the official has not yet announced a new release date.

The New Mutants is directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) and stars Anya Taylor-Joy (Split), Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things), Henry Zager (13 Reasons Why), and Blu Hunt (Original Vampire Diaries). The story tells about five young new mutants who discover their abilities in a secret agency and must fight to protect themselves in order to escape the sins of the past.

According to incomplete statistics, the films that were withdrawn due to the epidemic include:

"A Quiet Place 2" was withdrawn from the global schedule (originally scheduled to be released in North America on March 20, now to be determined);

"Mulan" was withdrawn from the global schedule (originally scheduled to be released in North America on March 27, now to be determined);

"The New Mutants" has been withdrawn from theaters worldwide (originally scheduled to be released in North America on April 3, now to be determined);

"Fast & Furious 9" was withdrawn from the global schedule (originally scheduled to be released in North America on May 22, now changed to April 2, 2021);

Antlers has been withdrawn from theaters worldwide (originally scheduled to be released in North America on April 17, now to be determined);

"The Painter's Wife" was withdrawn (originally scheduled for April in North America, now to be determined);

"The Lovebirds" has been withdrawn from the North American release schedule (originally scheduled for April 3, now to be determined).

Previously, "No Time to Die" and "Peter Rabbit 2" were withdrawn from the global schedule. More films may join the withdrawal camp in the future.
