The Amazing Spider-Man 2 screenwriter returns to Sony to write unannounced superhero movie script

According to exclusive news from sources obtained by TheWrap, Roberto Orci, the co-writer of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", has been appointed by Sony to write the script for an unnamed Marvel Universe film under Sony.

The specific details of the project and which heroes are involved are still kept secret, but it is very likely that they are characters from Sony's Spider-Man spin-off universe, such as Morbius the Vampire, Night Watch, Silk, Silver Sable and Black Cat.

Andy Serkis is currently directing the sequel to Venom, which is one of the highlights of the next stage of Sony's superhero universe. Tom Hardy, the star of the 2018 Venom movie, will continue to lead the film, and the screenwriter of the film remains unchanged, striving to present a smooth and expressive story.

Roberto Orci has a long history as a playwright, with his well-known works including Star Trek, The Legend of Zorro, Mission: Impossible 3, Transformers and Fringe. This time, he returns to the Sony super movie crew after The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and it is sure to create different creative sparks.

<<:  The filming location entered an emergency state to fight the epidemic, and Marvel's "Falcon and the Winter Soldier" suspended filming

>>:  The reason why Ghibli put its works on streaming platforms is simple: making movies costs money.
