Warner will create a "Mortal Kombat" animated film to be released in the first half of this year

In addition to the live-action Mortal Kombat movie that will be released in early 2021, Warner Bros. Animation will also produce a new animated film based on the Mortal Kombat series, called Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge, which is currently expected to be released in the first half of 2020.

"Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge" is directed by Ethan Spaulding, who has previously participated in many animated films adapted from comics, including many "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "Batman". Spaulding seems to be the best candidate to direct this animated film.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge does not have a confirmed release date yet. However, Warner Bros. should release relevant information soon. With the live-action Mortal Kombat movie coming soon, it's not too late to become a fan of this legendary fighting game series at NetherRealm.
