The Witcher TV Show Will Have More Magic Than Any Other Show

Fans will soon be able to see a brand new series on Netflix based on Andrzej Sapkowski's novel series The Witcher, a world filled with popular characters, terrifying creatures, and powerful magic. Although it is a combination of all three elements, it is clear that there will be a lot of magic in this film.

Recently, Tomek Baginski, executive producer of the live-action series of "The Witcher", was interviewed by foreign media ComicBook. In the interview, foreign media asked whether some of the very strange moments in the short stories would appear in the series. The good news is that some of the more interesting and memorable moments in these stories will be presented in the series.

"The Witcher is a very special book, a very special world, because it's very funny," Baginski said. "It's often very dark, it's very gritty, but it's also often very funny because even in the darkest moments, the darkest moments in its history, people still want to have a party. People want to drink, people want to have fun, so it's a very joyful show.

We had a lot of fun with the magic. We had some great battles with the monsters, but at the same time our main goal was to nail the characters. We spent a lot of time finding the right voices. We spent a lot of time finding the right cast, but the most important part for me and Lauren (producer) and the other producers was the human part of it, the characters that we could create.”

When he says they had a lot of fun with magic, he's not kidding, but is hinting that there's a lot of magic throughout the first season, probably more than any other show.

"The rest of it is entertainment, of course. The rest of it is fun and cool. I think we have more magic than any other show, and we have some really cool battles with monsters and with humans. But for us, the soul of the show is these characters, and I'm glad we got the cast we wanted because it doesn't happen very often."

The Witcher series will premiere on Netflix on December 20.
