The "North American dark horse of the year" movie "The Farewell" was urgently "rescheduled" in mainland China

The movie "The Farewell" produced by the American company A24 was originally scheduled to be released in mainland China on November 22. As the release date approached, the film was suddenly withdrawn. The film company confirmed that the film would be rescheduled and the new release date is yet to be determined.

"Don't Tell Her" tells the story of a Chinese family in the United States. The grandmother in the family has cancer, but she doesn't know about it yet. The family members reunite under the name of a wedding. Should they tell the grandmother about this?

The Farewell was once called the "2019 North American Dark Horse" by the media, and won the "Audience Favorite Film" award at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Recently, it was nominated for three awards at the Gotham Independent Film Awards, which is known as an important indicator of the Oscars: Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Actress.

The film received rave reviews after its release in North America, with a 99% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes! One critic wrote: "The performances of the actors throughout the film are perfect!"

It is reported that "The Farewell" is A24's 2020 Oscar-winning work, and we can expect the film's performance at the Oscars. A24 has previously successfully produced and operated the Oscar-winning best picture "Moonlight".
