Director Gunn responded to the Godfather director's dislike of Marvel movies: The older generation told me that gangster movies are the same

Recently, Francis Ford Coppola, the director of the Oscar-winning film The Godfather, criticized Marvel movies for being "stereotyped and disgusting." Today (October 21), James Gunn, the director of Guardians of the Galaxy, posted a post on Instagram. Although he did not name any names, he said that the older generation told him that gangster movies were the same.

It was called on par with 2001: A Space Odyssey, but I think it's too boring." Today's superhero movies are nothing more than a hodgepodge of gangsters, cowboys and interstellar explorers. Some superhero movies are good, but some are really not. Not everyone can appreciate westerns and gangster movies, and some movie geniuses may not understand them, but it doesn't matter."
