Black actor from Westworld will play Commissioner Gordon in the new Batman standalone film

Directed by Matt Reeves, the new "Batman" independent film starring British actor Robert Pattinson as Batman is being filmed in full swing. Today (September 24), according to HollywoodReporter, the new "Batman" independent film will add two new casts, namely, the black actor Jeffrey Wright of "Westworld" and comedian Jonah Hill.

According to HollywoodReporter, Jeffrey Wright, who plays the planner of Westworld in "Westworld", is in negotiations to play the police chief Jim Gordon, who has worked with the old boss for many years in "Batman". The choice of Jeffrey Wright as "Commissioner Gordon" has also caused great controversy among foreign fans.

In addition, comedy star Jonah Hill is in negotiations to play a mysterious villain in the new "Batman". Foreign media speculate that it is likely to be "Penguin" or "Riddler". Both casts are currently in talks and have not been confirmed.

The "Batman" independent film has been confirmed to be made into a series, and the first one will be released in North America on June 25, 2021. Director Matt Reeves hopes to make this "Batman" a crime-driven black film, highlighting Bruce Wayne's detective skills rather than the previous action hero setting. In addition to Catwoman, villains such as the Penguin, the Riddler, and Two-Face are also expected to appear in the film.
