The Witcher TV series season 1 takes place before Yennefer meets Geralt

Netflix recently released the first trailer of The Witcher TV series at the San Diego Comic-Con, and announced a lot of information about the show. Now according to foreign media Comicbook, the story of the first season of The Witcher TV series takes place before Yennefer and Ciri meet Geralt.

Producer Lauren S. Hissrich said in an interview with Comicbook: "The Witcher TV series is based on the original work by Andrzej Sapkowski. What's really interesting is that we can expand the content of the original book. We spent a lot of time familiarizing ourselves with the original work and deepening the personalities of each character, especially Yennefer and Ciri, to make them come alive. Yennefer and Ciri may not appear before they meet Geralt, but through in-depth understanding, we have created fully formed characters before they appear."

In the TV series "The Witcher", Anya Chalotra plays Yennefer and Freya Allan plays Ciri. The show tells a story of fate and family.
