A new chapter in the 20-year long story! "Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST" resumes serialization today

The latest chapter of Japanese manga artist Kazuya Minekura's representative masterpiece, "Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST", is serialized again in the July issue of "Monthly Manga ZERO-SUM" released today, May 28th. Let's take a look at it together.

"Saiyuki" is the general name of a series of comics written by Japanese manga artist Kazuya Minekura and its derivative works. It is also the name of the first work in the series. "Saiyuki" is a fantasy adventure comic series that uses the names of characters from "Journey to the West", one of the four great Chinese classics, and the plot is slightly related to "Journey to the West".

The first work in the series, Saiyuki, began serialization in ENIX's Monthly G Fantasy in 1997 and ended in 2002, with a total of 9 volumes and 55 chapters. The second work, Saiyuki RELOAD, was transferred to Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic ZERO-SUM in May of the same year and ended in 2009, with a total of 10 volumes and 49 chapters.

The third work in the series, Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST, was previously serialized and then stopped, but it was resumed today on May 28. Kazuya Minekura said that this will be the final chapter of the Saiyuki series.
