The live-action movie of "Tom and Jerry" tells the story of "Kayla" played by Chloë Grace Moretz, a new employee of a luxury hotel, and Jerry happens to be in the hotel. Since Jerry's appearance may have a bad influence on the newlyweds who will hold their wedding in the hotel, Kayla finds Tom. But Tom even starts to cooperate with Jerry to deal with the villain boss of the hotel, because the boss thinks that "Tom and Jerry" are not good things. Michael Pena will play Terrence, the hotel's somewhat overbearing vice president.

The live-action movie of Tom and Jerry will be directed by Tim Story, the director of the Fantastic Four series. In the original animation, Tom and Jerry are silent, so they plan to not speak in the live-action movie either, but stick to the style of the original animation, using action comedy to make the audience laugh, so no actors will be found to dub them. At the same time, the scenes are taken in real life and then matched with animation.

The live-action "Tom and Jerry" movie will be released in North America on April 16, 2021.
