The Mandalorian and Gogu movie is moved up to May 22, 2026

The "Star Wars" spin-off movie "The Mandalorian and Gogu" has been advanced from its original December 18, 2026 to May 22, 2026 in North America.

The male lead of the drama version, Pedro Pascal, has confirmed his return and will continue to play the role of Din Djarin in the movie version.

The Mandalorian and Gogu is directed by Jon Favreau (director of Iron Man), the main creator of the Mandalorian series, and is produced by Dave Filoni, one of the directors of the series and currently the CCO of Lucasfilm, and Kathleen Kennedy. The film is the first "Star Wars" movie officially announced to start filming since "Star Wars 9" in 2019, and is scheduled to start filming this year.
