The "Tom and Jerry" movie will start shooting this summer, directed by the director of "Fantastic Four"

The live-action CG animation movie "Tom and Jerry" which is currently under development has announced the start of filming. According to an exclusive report by foreign media Discussing Film, the live-action version of "Tom and Jerry" will begin filming in July this year at Warner's Livingston Studios in London.

Warner originally planned to start filming "Fantastic Beasts 3" at Livingston Studios in July. Due to the film's early preparation period, the filming was postponed to late autumn. The live-action version of "Tom and Jerry" just filled the studio's window period.

The live-action version of Tom and Jerry will be directed by Tim Story, the director of the 2005 version of the Fantastic 4 series. It is reported that the live-action version will respect the setting of the original animation. Tom and Jerry will not speak in the movie, but rely on exaggerated body movements to express their emotions.

The classic animation "Tom and Jerry" was produced by MGM Animation Studios between 1940 and 1960. The series has a total of 114 animated shorts and has won 7 Oscars.
