"I Just Want to Love You" Sets Box Office Record for Live-Action Shakespeare Adaptations

Sony's romantic comedy "Just Want to Love You" recently grossed $189 million worldwide, surpassing Leonardo Dicaprio's 1996 "Romeo and Juliet" ($147 million) to set a new box office record for live-action adaptations of Shakespeare's plays.

"Just Want to Love You" is adapted from Shakespeare's comedy "Much Ado About Nothing" written around the 17th century. It is worth mentioning that Kenneth Branagh directed and starred in a version of "Much Ado About Nothing" in 1993.

"Just Want to Love You" tells the story of the talented and beautiful Bea (Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell) who had a huge misunderstanding on their first date, turning them into enemies before they were even lovers. As fate would have it, they met again at a wedding in a different place! Faced with the strong instigation of their relatives and friends, the two decided to follow the public opinion and pretend to be lovers. Between enemies and lovers, you come and I go, and fall in love.
