Hollywood's best friends reunite to direct Damon's new Netflix suspense film

One of the longest-lasting and most legendary friendships in Hollywood is that of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Thirty-five years have passed since they first collaborated, and the two show no signs of stopping.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ben Affleck will direct Damon's new Netflix movie Animals, which Netflix describes as a "kidnapping thriller." The report says the movie will revolve around "a mayoral candidate and his wife whose son is kidnapped."

The plot is "Surrounded by numerous enemies, political and otherwise, a husband and wife have no choice but to take matters into their own hands to save their children."

There is no set filming date for "Animals" yet, but media outlets say filming could begin as early as March.
