Disney+ cancels "Nautilus" and other two American TV series filming has been completed

Disney+ recently canceled two American TV series that had already been filmed and were about to be released.

The two American dramas, The Twilight Zone, based on the novel of the same name by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi, and The Nautilus, based on the science fiction mission Captain Nemo, have now been removed from the streaming platform.

According to Variety, The Elf Case Files has completed filming of all six episodes and is currently seeking buyers from other TV networks. The live-action series was first announced as part of Disney+ Member Day in 2021. The story tells the story of Grace, the ancestral home of Spiderwick, exploring a world full of magical creatures and elves.

Nautilus is produced by James Dormer and stars Star Trek: Discovery actor Shazad Latif as Captain Nemo. The 10-episode American TV series is based on the classic novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and tells the adventure story of Captain Nemo and his iconic submarine Nautilus.

According to DEADLINE, Nautilus was canceled because it became part of Disney's cost-cutting strategy, which includes cutting non-sports content by up to $3 billion. The Tales of the Spiderwick Chronicles may also be canceled for the same reason. They may still be broadcast on other platforms.
