Apple's sci-fi American drama "Wool Wars" confirmed to be renewed for a second season

Apple has currently renewed the science fiction series "Wool Wars" for a second season.

The series was created by Graham Yost and adapted from the novel "Wool" by writer Hugh Howey. The original English title is "Wool", while the American version is called "Silo". The series stars two actresses, Rebecca Ferguson and Rashida Jones, who live in a dystopian future where the last 10,000 people on Earth have established a society isolated from pollution in a huge underground silo fortress.

“It’s been incredibly satisfying to see the compelling, atmospheric and beautifully crafted sci-fi epic Wool quickly become Apple’s number one series,” said Matt Chrniss, head of programming at Apple TV+. “Ratings will only continue to climb as audiences around the world are drawn to the mysteries and conspiracies buried in this fascinating underground world, and we’re very much looking forward to unraveling more of the Silo’s secrets in Season 2.”

The series premiered on May 5 and was renewed just before the show's eighth episode. In addition to the two female leads introduced earlier, the cast also includes David Oyelowo, Common, Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Rick Gomez, Avi Nash and Chinaza Uche.

“We can’t wait for audiences around the world to immerse themselves in the epic world we’ve created and bring Hugh Howey’s novel to life,” said series creator Graham Yost. “Apple believed in our vision from the beginning, and we’re honored to have the opportunity to delve deeper into this story and peel back the layers for our characters in The Wool War.”
