The director responded to why the live-action movie "Saint Seiya" is not so holy. Kurumada's obsession

The much-anticipated live-action film of the classic manga "Saint Seiya" will be released first in Japan on April 28 and in North America on May 12. Many netizens said that after watching the trailer, they had no feelings for one of the essences of the film - the sacred cloth. It did not feel sacred at all and looked more like armor. Recently, the director responded in an interview that this was the original obsession of Masami Kurumada.

The live-action Saint Seiya film tells a new original story: When the mysterious power "Cosmo" awakens in the body of the street orphan Seiya, he puts on the ancient Greek Pegasus armor and joins a supernatural war for the fate of Sienna, a girl who struggles to control her own divine power.

·The film director Tomasz Baginski responded in an interview and talked about one of the essences of the "Saint Seiya" series·the design process of the saint cloth. The production team once created the "golden" saint cloth according to the original setting. When showing it to Masami Kurumada, unexpectedly, Masami Kurumada directly said "it's not like that."

Masami Kurumada then explained that there was no need to copy the original settings. When he designed the armor, he had referred to the ancient Greek armor. So the production team decided to abandon all previous designs and invited a real European armor blacksmith to be a consultant to create a forged version of the armor.
