Apart from Akira Toriyama's well-known representative works such as "Dragon Ball" and "Arale", it is estimated that not many people know about his famous short story "SAND LAND". Recently, Toho Pictures announced that "SAND LAND" will be produced into an animated film, which is scheduled to be released on August 18.

"SAND LAND" is a short comic work published by Akira Toriyama in 2000 after the completion of "Dragon Ball". The story tells that in the water-scarce desert world, humans and monsters coexist. The demon prince Beelzebub and the human sheriff Rao join forces and embark on a journey to find the "Fountain of Fantasy" somewhere in the desert.
