The theme song of "Uma Musume" has been played over 50 million times and certified by the Recording Industry Association of Japan

As of December 2022, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) certified "うまぴょい伝説", the theme song for Cygames' Umamusume Pretty Derby series, as a top online hit, with over 50 million plays.

The song debuted as the series' first theme song and appeared in a 2016 concept promotional video for the series ahead of the release of the games and anime. The song received a 2021 remake that was certified gold by RIAJ.

The 13-episode first season of the Umamusume TV animation premiered in April 2018, the second season premiered in January 2021, and the third season is in production.
