As of December 2022, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) certified "うまぴょい伝説", the theme song for Cygames' Umamusume Pretty Derby series, as a top online hit, with over 50 million plays. The song debuted as the series' first theme song and appeared in a 2016 concept promotional video for the series ahead of the release of the games and anime. The song received a 2021 remake that was certified gold by RIAJ. The 13-episode first season of the Umamusume TV animation premiered in April 2018, the second season premiered in January 2021, and the third season is in production. |
