"Avatar 2: The Way of Water" has been significantly improved on the basis of its predecessor. Although its story is not groundbreaking, its super-shocking visual effects make it impossible to refuse to return to Pandora.

IGN Summary:

Avatar 2: The Way of Water is a thoughtful and gorgeous return to Pandora, one that both fleshes out the mythology established in the first film and the Sully family's place within it. It may not be the best sequel James Cameron has ever made, but it's certainly the most demonstrable improvement on its predecessor. Oceans of Pandora is a visual marvel that expands the series' visual language in beautiful fashion. The simple story feels a little "cliche" to you, but as a vehicle to transport you to another world, it's more than adequate for the job. This is every bit of a vintage Cameron blockbuster, filled with the spectacle and emotion of filmmaking, and an easy choice to recommend for those looking to escape to another world for a three-hour adventure.
