Peter Jackson considered using hypnosis to help people forget about the Lord of the Rings movies and enjoy watching them

Recently, renowned director Peter Jackson said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he had considered using hypnosis to forget the experience of directing the "Lord of the Rings" series of films and the plot of the films, so that he could enjoy watching the fun like a fan.

Peter Jackson said: "When we were making the Lord of the Rings movies, I always felt like I was the unlucky one because no one thought highly of these movies at the time. By the time they were released, I had been immersed in them for five or six years. For me, it was a big loss not to be able to watch these movies like other audiences."

Peter Jackson told the media that he had considered seeking help from hypnotist and psychologist Darren Brown, who was confident that it could be done. But in the end Jackson did not do so.

"I actually seriously considered going to a hypnotist and having myself hypnotized into forgetting Lord of the Rings and the six or seven years of work I had put into it, so that I could just sit back and enjoy it. I spoke to Derren Brown about it and he thought it could be done, but in the end I didn't go through with it."
