The Witcher game Geralt actor likes the "super version" Geralt very much: It's sad to see him leave

In the upcoming fourth season of Netflix's live-action drama "The Witcher", due to the withdrawal of the original actor of the protagonist Geralt, "Superman" Henry Cavill, Geralt of the show will be played by "Hammer Brother" Liam Hyams. Regarding this, Doug Cockerell, the original actor of Geralt in CDPR's "The Witcher" series of games, also expressed his opinion. He said that he was sad to see Henry Cavill leave the show, but at the same time he was looking forward to Liam Hyams' interpretation of Geralt.

In an interview with foreign media GamesRadar+, Doug Cocker said: "I'm really sad to see Henry leave, because I really like his performance and I like this guy. He invited me to the London premiere of the show, and we met there. He is a very, very lovely guy. He loves the wizarding world very much. I was really sad to hear that he was leaving for some reason. So I was really sad to see Henry leave."

Doug Cockerell added: "Liam's a great actor, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how he looks and sounds and moves as Geralt. You know, it's going to be different. Different from mine, different from Henry's, different from Peter Kenny (who voices Geralt in the audiobook series). I'm really looking forward to seeing his work."

Henry Cavill is leaving The Witcher series after rumors swirled that he and Netflix producers disagreed over the role of Geralt in the series. Cavill said when the casting of Geralt was announced: "Like the greatest literary characters, I pass the torch to Geralt with great respect and eagerly look forward to seeing Liam's interpretation of this most fascinating and subtle man."
