Venom: The Last Dance: IGN 4 points: A dull farewell

The overseas media reputation of "Venom: The Last Dance" is released, with IGN giving it a score of 4 and Metacritic including ratings from 28 media outlets, with the current average score of 42.

IGN Rating: 4 points, poor

Venom: The Last Dance stumbles over its own tendrils, distracting from the unexpectedly gritty core relationship between Eddie Brock and his symbiote best friend with a boring, genre-defying plot and awful action.

Overall review:

If this really is The Last Dance, then Venom ends up being the same as it began: a mostly boring superhero story occasionally elevated by Tom Hardy’s nervous Jekyll & Hyde-like performance. Venom: The Last Dance teeters between being a big-budget comic book movie and telling the story of a boy and his alien.

The threat posed from afar by "Symbiote God" Knull often steals the film's focus, leading to disappointing results, but there's still some fun to be had in this weird ride off into the sunset—thanks in large part to the toothy titular symbiote.

The action is lackluster, and the new content distracts from the unique relationship at the core of the series, which suggests it's time to send this venomous horse to the glue factory. Hopefully, we'll get something a little stickier.
