Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has spoken in the past about how Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be the final film for the current squad, and now he himself seems to be confirming that even more. In an interview with Deadline, Gunn said that "Guardians of the Galaxy 3" will be his farewell work as a director and the entire team. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be the end for us. It's the last time people will see this team. I just want to be true to the characters, true to the story, and I want to give people the closure they deserve. So it's always a little scary, and I tried my best." The current members of "Guardians of the Galaxy" include Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and the tree man Groot. Now, this isn't to say we'll never see any of these characters again. Each of them could potentially have their own solo adventures, or tie into the wider MCU in their movies. But for some, this could also be their last appearance. |
