"Pirates of the Caribbean" actor: Depp's version of Captain Jack Sparrow should return

Due to the domestic violence lawsuit with his ex-wife, Johnny Depp suffered a heavy blow from the "cancel culture". Not only was he fired from Warner's "Fantastic Beasts 3", but he was also not included in several "Pirates of the Caribbean" projects developed by Disney.

Kevin McNally, who played First Mate Gibbs in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series, recently complained about this. He said that without Depp, there would be no Pirates of the Caribbean series.

"I have never seen the dark side of Johnny Depp. He is a very good person. I don't think there is any obstacle for him to return to the Pirates of the Caribbean series and play Captain Jack Sparrow again."

"Isn't it a universally acknowledged fact that there would be no Pirates of the Caribbean without Jack Sparrow? Of course there can be other pirate movies, but there can also be a story arrangement like this: Captain Jack Sparrow disappears, and then a group of new characters come to ask me how to find Captain Jack Sparrow."

Earlier reports said that Disney is rebooting the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series without Johnny Depp, but progress is not going smoothly so far.

This is not the first time Kevin McNally has supported Depp. At the end of last year, he publicly stated: "Depp has created a legendary contemporary film character. Those who want to erase this achievement are no different from criminals. In fact, many audiences will not watch a "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie without Johnny Depp."
