Following up on his Marvel series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie has signed on to star in Captain America: Civil War. According to Deadline, the script of "Captain America 4" was co-written by Spellman, the chief screenwriter and creator of "Falcon and the Winter Soldier", and Dalan Musson, the screenwriter of the "Captain America" series. The director has not yet been finalized. There is no mention of whether "Winter Soldier" Sebastian Stan will return. Deadline also believes that former Captain America Chris Evans will still return to Marvel, but it is unlikely to be this movie. MacKay first joined Marvel in 2014, playing Falcon in "Captain America 2", and then played Falcon in 5 MCU movies. In the series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" aired this year, he took up the shield and became the new Captain America. |
