After finishing the battle with Protodeviln, the Macross 7 fleet continues to sail smoothly. Fire Bomber is also extremely popular, and their live shows are always sold out! However, Basara, who is not satisfied with such daily life, goes on a carefree solo trip with only his guitar! Basara stops by Planet Zola, where the Galactic Whale migrates once a year, and by chance, he meets a girl named Elma and Elma's father, Graham, who is relentlessly pursuing the giant white Galactic Whale.
