Chinese film audience satisfaction hits 7-year high in spring season, with "On the Cliff" taking first place

According to the latest media news, the results of the Chinese Film Audience Satisfaction Survey and the 2021 Spring Season Survey showed that the spring season audience satisfaction score was 83.1 points, the highest score for the same period since the survey began in 2015, an increase of 1.6 points from the same period in 2019.

Among them, the spy film "On the Cliff" released during the "May Day" period won the schedule satisfaction championship with 85.8 points, the family film "My Sister" released during the Qingming holiday ranked second in the schedule with 85.0 points, and the crime drama "Sweeping Black and Decisive Battle" which was scheduled for the "May Day" on April 21st ranked third in the schedule with a satisfaction of 84.8 points.

In the spring of 2021, 10 key domestic films from early April to May Day were surveyed, and 6 of them scored over 80 points in the "satisfactory" range. Among them, among the 6 films released during the May Day period, "On the Cliff", "Sweeping Black: The Final Battle", "Chasing Tigers and Catching Dragons" and "Your Wedding" all scored over 80 points in satisfaction.

"On the Cliff", "My Sister" and "Sweeping Black: The Decisive Battle" are the top three in terms of satisfaction among the films of the period. While taking the top three places in terms of watchability, thoughtfulness and popularity among the films of the period, the three films each won the top spot in an index.

"On the Cliff" directed by Zhang Yimou broke the years of silence of domestic spy films, with a satisfaction score of 85.8 and a watchability score of 85.7, the highest in the period; "My Sister" is the first film in which young actress Zhang Zifeng starred. It reflects social reality through the stories of two generations of "sisters", which resonated with the audience and ranked first in terms of popularity with 84.6 points.

"Sweeping Black: The Decisive Battle" is the first feature film in China to depict the nationwide fight against organized crime in a photo-realistic manner. It not only directly hits the social pain points, but also demonstrates the resolute and powerful national actions. It won the first place in terms of ideology with 87.5 points.
