LeTV Pictures CEO Zhang Zhao passed away, Jia Yueting mourned: He was born for movies

Today, on February 4, according to media reports, many industry insiders said that Zhang Zhao, former CEO and executive director of LeTV Pictures, passed away at the age of 58. Jia Yueting, former head of LeTV, also posted a message to mourn him, saying that he was born for movies and I will always remember and thank him.

Zhang Zhao founded Enlight Pictures and LeTV Pictures. After leading LeTV Pictures out of its darkest hour, he joined Fosun Group and is considered one of the most influential figures in the Chinese film industry.

Last night, Jia Yueting, the founder of LeTV, wrote a message to mourn Zhang Zhao, saying that he was grateful to him and would always remember him. He was born for movies, and all that flowed in his blood was the movie gene. His obsession with movies was admirable.

Jia Yueting: I was awakened from my sleep and suddenly heard that Zhang Zhao had left us. I was shocked, sad, and heartbroken! The first thing that came to my mind was the excitement we shared when I told him about my smart tram ecological dream while waiting for the flight at the New York airport in 2013. It was he who named this concept "SEE Project". I will always remember it thanks to him. He was born for movies, and all the movie genes flowed in his blood. His obsession with movies is admirable. Although his ambitions were not fulfilled, I believe he will still pursue his dreams and realize his long-cherished wish in heaven.
