Amazon's "Like a Dragon" live-action series first trailer released on October 24

At the San Diego Comic-Con 2024 in the United States, Amazon finally released the first official trailer for the highly anticipated Prime Video live-action series "Yakuza".

First trailer:

During the Comic-Con talk, Amazon debuted the live-action series trailer for the classic Sega game IP, giving fans a glimpse of Akira Nishikiyama, played by Kento Kaku, who will play Kazuma Kiryu's childhood friend.

In addition, Amazon also showed the audience exclusive clips of Kiryu Kazuma, played by Takeuchi Ryoma, and Nishikiyama Akira, played by Kaku Kento, which have not been made public.

The YouTube trailer description also comes with a plot synopsis. As Amazon previously confirmed, the Yakuza live-action series is loosely based on the events depicted in the 2005 game, focusing on the stories of Kazuma Kiryu and his three childhood friends at different stages of their lives.

The plot synopsis is as follows:

"Yakuza" is an original crime suspense action series that spans two time periods, 1995 and 2005. It tells the life of Kazuma Kiryu, a gangster warrior with a strong sense of justice, responsibility and humanity, his childhood friends and the consequences of his decisions.

The first season of the live-action series "Yakuza" consists of six episodes, three of which will premiere on Prime Video on October 24, and the second half of the season will be aired on November 1. The series is directed by Take Masaharu, who is best known for his Netflix original series "The Naked Director."
