Popular anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" confirmed to produce stage play starring roles

The recently popular "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is going to have a stage play. The official announced the news at the "JUMP Festival 2021 ONLINE" held on December 19. At the same time, the actors for the main characters have been confirmed. Let's take a look.

"Demon Slayer" is a fantasy manga created by Koyoharu Gotouge. It tells the story of the Japanese Taisho period, when it is said that after the sun sets, demons come out to eat people. There are also demon hunters who kill demons and protect people. The ordinary and happy daily life of Tanjiro, a charcoal seller, changed drastically on the day his family was attacked by demons. His mother and four younger siblings were brutally killed, and his sister Nezuko, who survived with him, also turned into a ferocious demon. In order to cut off the chain of sadness, the boy never stopped fighting with demons.

The script and stage director of the "Demon Slayer" stage play have been confirmed to be Kenichi Suemitsu, and the music will be composed by Shunsuke Wada. The main characters include Tanjiro played by Ryota Kobayashi, Nezuko played by Akari Takaishi, Zenitsu Agatsuma played by Keisuke Ueda, Inosuke Hashibira played by Yugo Sato, Giyu Tomioka played by Rei Honda, and Muzan Kibutsuji played by Yoshie Sasaki. The specific performance date has not yet been determined, so please stay tuned for subsequent reports.
