Gal Gadot, the star of "Wonder Woman 2", showed up and sent her own New Year's greetings. New Year Blessings: "Wonder Woman 2" is the ninth film in the DC Extended Universe. It is directed by Patty Jenkins and co-written with Geoff Johns and David Callahanke. Gal Gadot continues to play Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. Other actors include Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal. The story of "Wonder Woman 2" is set in 1984, with the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union as the background.
