Recently, the "Reiwa Annual Director-General of the Agency for Cultural Affairs Award" selected by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs was announced. The father of Gundam, Yoshiyuki Tomino, was confirmed to be the winner. A total of 74 cultural figures from various fields won the award. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on December 6.

The "Reiwa Minister of Culture Award" is sponsored by the Japanese government's Agency for Cultural Affairs to recognize individuals or groups that have made outstanding contributions to cultural activities and society in the past year. A total of 74 people or groups won the award in Reiwa.
