"The Captain" is adapted from the "May 14" Sichuan Airlines flight 3U8633 emergency landing in Chengdu, recreating the thrilling "miracle in civil aviation history" that shocked the world. The Captain is scheduled to be released on September 30, 2019, as a tribute to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
