Netflix has decided not to renew the Marvel series "Iron Fist" for a third season, making it the first Marvel series to be cancelled on the platform. In a joint statement, Netflix and Marvel expressed their respect and gratitude for the hard work of the production team and thanked the audience for their support. Although the series has ended, the Iron Fist will live on. The last episode of Iron Fist Season 2 aired on September 7, and the sad news of the show's end came just one month later. Although critics believe that the show is mediocre, it can be seen that the second season has signs of recovery. Unfortunately, the creators will no longer have a chance to prove themselves unless Marvel's parent company Disney picks up Iron Fist Season 3 after launching its own streaming service next year. There are currently three Marvel series broadcasting on Netflix, namely "Daredevil" (the third season will be launched next weekend), "Jessica Jones" (the third season was confirmed in April and entered the filming process), and "Luke Cage" (the third season is about to be confirmed). |
