A well-known Japanese animation company that produced animations such as "Date A Live" declared bankruptcy

Recently, the well-known Japanese animation company Producion IMS announced bankruptcy with a debt of 250 million yen and has begun bankruptcy procedures. Since December 2017, there have been rumors that Producion IMS has been in arrears with the wages of producers. After struggling for a period of time, it is regrettable that Producion IMS finally went bankrupt.

Producion IMS is an independent company from AIC Spirit. This animation production company has produced well-known animation works such as "High School Fleet", "Fox Fairy's Love Introduction", "New Sister Devil's Contract", and "Date A Live Season 2".

After Producion IMS was established, Kadokawa transferred some animation projects to it, such as the theatrical animation of "Sky's Lost Property" and the second season of "Date A Live". It then produced two original animations, "High School Fleet" and "Mobile Assault Room: Lesson 8". Although the results and reputation were good, it ultimately failed to save the company.
